As followers of Jesus we seek to live gracefully, truthfully, courageously, compassionately, and justly in our world. We welcome any who wish to join with us, no matter where you are on your spiritual journey or in life’s journey.
The Rev. Timothy Stevens recently retired from his position as University Chaplain at Northwestern University, a position he held for 32 years. Tim is an ordained minister in the United Church of Christ. He has an M.Div. degree from Princeton Theological Seminary and graduate degrees from Northwestern in English Literature. He and his wife Priscilla have lived in Evanston since 1978. Priscilla is head of Pastoral Care at Presbyterian Homes in Evanston. Tim is an avid Cubs fan, and he enjoys taking banjo lessons at the Old Town School of Folk Music.
Something for everyone.
St. John’s is supportive of local, national, and international missions. Our Mission's goal is to determine the needs of local and worldwide missions and then to assist them.
St. John's has several groups and activities to engage your children in a fun and fulfilling church experience. Children of all ages can participate in age-specific, adult-directed activities throughout the year.
St. John's music ensembles perform for Sunday morning worship and special occasions. Through music, the ensembles glorify God, give voice to our shared faith, and support the congregation's own singing.
Join us for St. John’s Annual VBS, July 14th-17th, 6:00-8:30 p.m. This year’s theme is Roar: Life is Wild; God is Good! Children ages 3 (must be potty trained) to entering sixth grade are welcome to attend.
