St. John's United Church of Christ is a protestant congregation that has been an active and growing part of this area since 1862. We are a caring, Christian body that welcomes all people of all ages and helps children and adults grow in their faith and discipleship.
We are a family-focused, multi-generational congregation of approximately 450 members with a strong commitment to youth and adult programs. Highlights of the programs at St. John's include:

We believe all of our ministries and activities are a reflection of our Mission Statement: St. John's United Church of Christ is a Christian congregation that strives to grow in spirit and numbers. Our priority is a love and commitment to God and the teachings of Jesus Christ. We shall strive to provide spiritual, religious and personal nurture and Christian education for children, youth and adults. We shall strive to offer outreach with mission and service projects as well as opportunities for fellowship and recreation.
How to find us:
Wolf Road in downtown Mokena, turn east onto Third Street across from Vandenberg Funeral Home. Our parking lot is about one-half block east of Wolf Road on the south side of Third Street. There are also parking lot entrances on the other streets surrounding the church, Union Street and Second Street.
